Reduction of nitriles to silylated primary amines was achieved by combination of 1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxane (TMDS) as the hydrosilane and a catalytic amount of Co(OPiv)2 (Piv = COtBu) associated with isocyanide ligands.
