General procedure: Under a nitrogen atmosphere, a mixture of [RhCl(C2H4)2]2 (1.8 mg,0.0045 mmol) and ligand L1f (3.7 mg, 0.0099 mmol) in toluene(1 mL) was stirred at r.t. for 15 min, at which time arylboronic acid(0.60 mmol) was added, followed by cyanoalkenes (0.30 mmol),aqueous KOH (0.75 M in H2O, 0.20 mL, 0.15 mmol) and toluene(1 mL).
