General procedure: A mixture of pyrazoline-5-one 1 (5 mmol), activated olefin 2 (5 mmol) and sodium bromide (0.31 g, 3 mmol) in methanol (20 mL) was electrolyzed in undivided cellequipped with a magnetic stirrer, a graphite anode and an iron cathode at 20 C under a constant current density of 100 mA cm-2 (I = 500 mA, electrodes square5 cm2) until the quantity of electricity 2.5 Fmol-1 of charge was passed.
