Abstract: Nitrogen-doped porous graphene/adenine-containing phthalonitrile (graphene/ADCN) carbon composites with excellent mech. properties and electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding performance were prepared by the high-energy ball milling molding-sintering method. The structure, morphol., elec. conductivity, dielec. properties, EMI shielding performance, and mech. properties were characterized. The results show that the introduction of the dipole effect can confer improved elec. conductivity and EMI shielding properties to graphene/ADCN carbon composites. The porous structure increases the multiple reflections and improves the EMI performance. As a mech. reinforcement phase, graphene was introduced to maintain the porous structure and improve the mech. properties. The EMI performance of graphene/ADCN carbon composites reached 47dB (7.5wt.% graphene) with only 0.94 mm thickness. Meanwhile, the maximum bending stress reached 292 MPa, and the maximum compressive stress reached 143 MPa. Graphical Abstract: [graphic not available: see fulltext].
