The organic layer was washed with saturated aqueous NaCl, dried over anhydrous MgSO4 and concentrated to yield Compound 1 (175 g, containing mineral oil) as a yellow oil, which was used directly without further purification. 1H NMR (CDCl3, 300 MHz) delta 7.52 (d, J=9.0 Hz, 2H), 7.38 (d, J=9.0 Hz, 2H), 1.72 (s, 6H).
