To a solution of 3-amino-5-bromo-benzonitrile (1.4 g, 7.1 mmol) in dioxane (8 mL)/ water (2mL) was added I -methyl-4-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1 ,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl) pyrazole (1.8 g, 8.5mmol), [1,1 ?-bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene]dichloropalladium(II), complex withdichloromethane (0.5 g, 0.7 mmol) and Na2CO3 (1.5 g, 14.2 mmol). The reaction was heatedto 120 C for 16 h under nitrogen atmosphere. After cooling to room temperature, the reactionmixture was filtered and concentrated in vacuo.
