The mixture was diluted with 2% aq. HCl (30 ml), the solid was separated by filtration, washed with 2% aq. HCl, water, and dried in HV to give pure target product (white solid, 1.35 g, 92% yield, 99% pure by LCMS – no mass observed). 1H-NMR (DMSO-d6) delta (ppm) 7.69 (s, 3H), 3.71 (m, 4H), 3.28 (m, 4H).
